Couples’ relationships can be exciting and meaningful, but unfortunately “and they lived happily ever after” is only a fairy tale
Life has a way of catching us all off-guard at times, and it’s often then when relationships get put under pressure. Your partner may be doing or saying the wrong thing, or letting you down when you need them most which leads to the relationship suffering
“Starting well is easy. Finishing well takes something more” - Dr. Scott Stanley

What is that “something more”? Most of us don’t know because probably none of us attended a “Relationships 101” course prior to entering ours
If you’re starting your relationship, if you want to enrich your relationship or if you are going through a difficult time in your relationship couples counselling is the answer
In a confidential, friendly and safe environment I aim to help couples explore:
-
Differences between them that if not managed well can lead to conflict
-
Identify and understand the painful relational cycle that both partners have created
-
Their individual contribution to this cycle as each partner’s behaviour affects the other person
-
Emotional regulation to de-escalate strong emotions in the couple’s interactions
-
Identify individual attachment needs and longings
-
Create a new safe way of conveying these needs to establish a healthy cycle for partners to thrive
My work includes:

-
Heterosexual and same sex couples
-
Cross-cultural couples and their particular challenges
-
